What this site is

The ICT Trends is a headline service. We monitor the newsrooms of ICT vendors and industry bodies and a set of established trade publications, and link to their reporting, sorted by topic.

How headlines are chosen

Selection is automatic. Software reads each source's public feed, groups reports of the same story, files them under a topic by keyword and filters out reviews, opinion columns, sponsored posts and event promotion. No one rewrites the stories and no AI system is involved in this process.

Sources and credit

Each headline is the publisher's own, shown with the publisher's name and a short extract from its feed, and it links directly to the original article. We do not copy article text or images.

Briefs

A small number of stories have their own page on this site. Those briefs were drafted with AI from the sources listed on each one, and each says so.

Accuracy and corrections

Automated selection can make mistakes, such as filing a story under the wrong topic. When we learn of an error we correct or remove the item.

Independence

Coverage of a company is not paid for by that company. Any sponsored content will be clearly labelled as such.

Crawler

Our feed reader identifies itself as TheICTTrendsBot. Publishers who do not want their headlines listed here can ask to be removed from our source list.
